The Egyptian star player has tied the legend Steven Gerrard's record for his club side Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League competition following his contribution to the victory of the reds over Napoli in the group stages of the competition, which took place on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.

Salah ties Gerrard's record of the most goals scored for Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League with a total of 41 goals since he joined the club. Salah's tap-in in the second half of the game saw him achieve this feat.

Salah also became the first Liverpool player to also score in 5 consecutive games in the champions league for Liverpool since Steven Gerrard.

Although Liverpool had finished second on the table, they successfully secured a ticket into the next round of the competition regardless of their current shaky form.
